Essai

Essai is an annual anthology of student writing, across the curriculum. Each year, students in the Graphic Design program design a book cover for the anthology. My design was chosen for the 2015-2016 edition.

The evolution of the butterfly - from caterpillar, to chrysalis, to butterfly represents the growth of a student and how they evolve throughout their schooling. Upon graduation, they are ready to fly off to explore the world and pollinate the flowers.

In addition to the book cover, my design team was also tasked with marketing the Essai Project, with the goal to increase submissions. My design was also to chosen to promote the anthology. Marketing material included two posters, one directed toward faculty and one toward students, a postcard directed toward faculty and tri-fold table toppers directed toward students. My team handled the fulfillment and distribution of the material.
